Both parties in...Your comments are right on target. Both parties in a negotiation must agree to put egos aside and negotiate in good faith. The question is, can we get to that agreement in a negotiation? Fairness is a great concept but in business, managers are judged on what they can bring back from negotiations. This is not altogether unfair, but we must admit to one another, we also ask our managers the question, what do I get out of this? In the end, fairness is in the eyes of the beholder. Benny A.
